Have your monthly cycles been affected by Lyme?

How?

Very few I've heard from who don't experience problems. From exaggerated PMS to cysts, to mood swings fit for the devil himself, to no period to drowning periods and let's not forget pain.

most people are affected. AS Tincup said, rarely there are chronic lyme patients without hormonal problems...

They heal when lyme heals.

My periods have been wonky (completely irregular, from 30-70 days) for the ten years I had Babesia (I think) undiagnosed. Then, in 2015, I started abx for Lyme and co, and suddenly had regular periods (31±2 days without fail).

Cutting out soy and dairy has made my periods essentially painless, and also shortened my cycle to 28-29 days.

Just my experience, but if menstruation really is a vital sign, I think in my case the changes have all indicated I'm getting healthier!

Mine are CRAZY!! My cycles are 20 days (so short) and I crash every. single. time.

I have an appointment to go over hormone testing tomorrow. Hope it helps.

Thanks for your input.

My daughter now realizes this is "normal" for lyme and babesia, unfortunately.

Any suggestions on how to deal with the severe pain & cramping?

Homeopathy helped my daughter (Belladona, Pulsatila, stuff like that), and hot bottles of water applied on the uterus...
