I'm wondering what are your experinces with OPC, if you take this for some time.

Everybody is talking about that here in Germany, like an amazing help for many chronic diseases.

Anyone using it for a while?

What are your experiences?

Thank you.

Hey Brussels, you mentioned in another post this OPC contains grapeseed extract? Wanted to clarify for others, as there is another supplement with OPC in its name that contains oleander used for treating cancer and HIV (so possibly helpful in treating lyme as well).

Thank you, Gz. Yes, this is grapeseed extract, or even grapeseed (flour), is fine.

Any experience with grapeseed in any form?

I remember I took the grapeseed oil, but I don't remember having any spectacular reaction...

Anyone??

What is OPC? Is it a brand name?

https://www.sunsaferx.com/health-and-wellness/benefits-grape-seed-extract/

What Are The Active Ingredients In Grape Seed Extract?

The predominant class of molecules found in grape seed extract is polyphenols.

Polyphenols are a broad group of substances found in plants.

They include tannins, lignins, flavonoids such as quercetin (a flavonol found in many fruits and vegetable) and EGCG (epigallocatechin-3-gallate, a catechin found in green tea),

cinnamic acids such as caffeic acid (found in coffee and other plants), coumarins,

and stilbenoids such as resveratrol (present in grapes and also other berries).

More specifically, in grape seed extract one type of polyphenol called oligomeric proanthocyanidin (OPC) is present at higher concentrations than all the others.

OPC is a powerful antioxidant responsible for most of the beneficial therapeutic effects of grape seed extract.

Proanthocyanidins are also found in other common foods and spices like fruits and especially berries, nuts, cinnamon, cocoa, and tea (EGCG is also a proanthocyanidin).

Like these other foods, proanthocyanidins are found in grape skins and juice, but grape seed extract contains a much higher concentration.

In fact, 70-90% of grape seed extract may be proanythocyanidins.

The rest of grape seed extract contains procyanidin, different forms of catechins, and other bioactives in smaller amounts.

good for high blood pressure 7 min video about grapeseed extract

The video looks a bit too simple, but for a lyme brain, this is perfect!

It starts with the basics of heart diseases, high blood pressure, etc, then just presents what is oxidation , free radicals, and what OPC does (which is simply, a very potent anti oxidant).

20 x more potent than vit C.

Most healers, naturopathic practitioners here are using OPC here now.

Joh Gray explains in 7 minutes what OPC is

This video is much better.

He recommends OPC as a main supplement: inexpensive, and very effective.

It works for allergies, pain, immune function etc.

He calls that OCP, instead...

He says that there are double-blind studies showing that grapeseed extract works AS WELL AS Ritalin for ADHD and ADD kids!

300mg + 600mg Vit C = lowers BRAIN INFLAMMATION in this studies!

And it does not become ineffective after a while, like Ritalin or drugs.

He recommends lithium orotate for hyperactive kids too.

I just took 2 capsules dissolved in water.

It does feel good, in the brain, some clarity comes rather fast.

It is known to INCREASE the effect of Vit C, acting synergistically with it.

If you guys know Flanagan's Megahydrate, which is already an amazing supplement, well, the liposomal Vit C already tops with it (in my opinion), for a FRACTION of the price (if you do at home yourself).

Suppose you add grapeseed extract or grapeseed flour, which enhances the Vit C effect.

I can't imagine what this will do then.

This guy says exactly what I feel: you can take whatever supplements you want, fine.

but stuff like this one (OPC, liposomal Vit C) must be at the BASE of all protocols.

Just the antioxidative effect that these stuff have heal great part of our problems (specially inflammation).

The rest you want to add, is an addition.

I'm really super excited with all these powerful - and INEXPENSIVE - supplements. I do feel these are part of the answers I always looked for.

I knew that Megahydrate could do a lot, but for that price, sorry. I couldn't be living with that forever.

Plus, if the guy stops producing it one day, what do we do?

If you know Megahydrate, well, OPC and Vit C (liposomal) can do as well (or probably better, as grapeseed is more like food than a supplement).

Hi Brussels. I've been taking OPC or grapeseed extract twice a day for years, along with a whole bunch of other supplements, so i can't identify any reactions or effects.

thank you, AutumnOl. Sorry for late response (I was on vacations).

I hope you are well health-wise, with all supplements!

My thinking was a little more clear on OPC. If money and time were no object, I would take it. I struggle to get the essential treatments done and supplements taken, so no I didn't continue.

Jubilee, is OPC expensive?

I understand that it's hard to put everything into one fixed protocol to follow.

We all struggle with that.

That is why I'm trying to re-think everything again, and trying to see if I can concentrate on a few MUST TAKE stuff, and around that, take other things.

Vit C is one thing I don't want to leave out, but I'd like to mix it with more natural alternatives such as OPC.

Thank you for your input. I ordered simply flour made from grapeseed. It will come soon.
