does anybody have pressured speech or disorganized thoughts with bartonella, candida, babesia etc ???

I've been manic for a month already since I went off my meds lamictal and pristiq (have no benefits from lifting my numb depression)

but my doctor believes its pretty unusual for those episodes to continue for that long duration which is why hes looking into a bart connection bringing on my psychotic issues

because im still dealing with this relentless brain fog and annoying loud ringing in my right ear that i can never get any relief from along with increased visual disturbances (seeing black spots, aparition like figures out the corner of my eye that will motion and then fade out once i turn and look, stars or crystal sparks)

Any advice if this sounds familar in bart cases before?

Also, does candida mimic the same conditions with bipolar because my doctor assumes i might have that from oral thrush coating on my tongue and white bumps forming along my inner cheek walls but hes still doing tests to verify this with me

i was at my doctor today and he noticed that i have fordyce granules or white bumps forming along my inner cheek walls that are slightly raised and had me checked for measles exposure

which I found to be a rediculous claim as ive had no fevers or flu like symptoms present but he insisted going this route

instead of considering the other likely calprit being candida despite my tongue as i showed him has white patches coated on it but he still denied it and shrugged it off,

i even told him my last doctor before i switched confirmed i had oral thrush on my tongue from her assessment but refused antibiotic treatment

so it seems like I just cant win with idiotic mainstream doctors when people are terribly ill for years are just dismissed out the door, such a shame on how flawed the medical society is

Hi Kevin - sounds like Lyme and candida to me.

Lyme affects thoughts and speech.

Brain fog needs medical tx of some kind - we're all different in what will work for us. I was able to get mine down by going on Armour thyroid because I tested low thyroid.

The ringing in my ears was only helped by use of a PEMF machine - it boosted the electromagnetic energy of the nerves and they quieted down.

I have been able to get rid of all Lyme eye symptoms by drinking mangosteen juice - it's an anti-inflam juice - I get it at the health store.

Oral thrush on the tongue means candida, to my understanding.

Don't wait for the doctors on this one - I happen to be lucky here in the SF Bay Area - we are blessed with many who do understand, but you can do something about it if you study the noncandida diet and then make a plan, which means only having food around that doesn't feed the yeast for a couple months.

I suggest a step-down diet, with fruit instead of sugar in the beginning, and then when you get over the sugar cravings - takes around a week or so - then no sweet fruit, and just veggies and meat and a few other things.

Some go on this diet to get the yeast load down initially and then take a noncandida drug like diflucan, because there can be severe die-off if people take a noncandida drug without clearing out some of the candida first.

I don't know about the white bumps.

Are you able to see a Lyme-treating doctor?

STEROIDS ?

Have you taken any kind of steroids in the past six months? Any kind, oral like Prednisone, any kind of steroid in a shot to a joint for pain / inflammation . . . or even any kind of topical steroid cream or lotion?

ENERGY drinks, formulas

Any kinds of energy drinks or muscle strengthening powders or gym formulas? Some contain steroids. And, even those that might not, energy drinks can often just send a damaged nervous & adrenal system to the moon with all kinds of chaos.

MOOD Rx

Also, some side effects from mood Rx can create the symptoms of bipolar / manic spells -- especially since many with lyme react in the opposite way some of the drugs are "supposed" to work.

This matters a great deal regarding what often goes into misdiagnosis for bipolar. Lyme & yes - BARTONELLA especially --

and other tick-borne infections, too, are often misdiagnosed as bipolar as

infections -- and especially if any steroids are on board -- can create symptoms that most doctors do not understand and are far too quick to label as bipolar.

FOOD ADDITIVES? SWEETENERS?

Also consider that some of these can also create bipolar-like symptoms for some who are very ill with lyme, etc. and the adrenal exhaustion that goes with it.

These can be neuro-toxic and create panic in the nervous system, so to speak. Avoid ALL food additives, sweeteners, colors, dyes, etc.

IMO: If you were not bipolar before you got sick with lyme, other infections - then it's likely not a true bipolar matter going on.

MAGNESIUM is your best friend right now to help balance some of those symptoms while you sort out your options.

Contact your closest - and all of them - area ILADS "minded" lyme support groups to explore options for what you might do for yourself right now

and then how you might obtain some degree of LL medical care.

Topic: MAGNESIUM - Informational Links set

If you are taking any brain / mood / neuro Rx, I do not recommend taking this on your own before first talking with a LLMD or LL ND. This, aside from Rx, on its own, has been helpful for many with lyme, tick-borne infections to aid in calming some of the adrenal anxiety that goes with it all.

Adrenal support, too, is important as so often the anxiety and even degrees of mania can be due to the adrenal fight or flight response from having a toxic infection. Ashwagandha or Cordyceps first steps here.
