Hey,

I got Lyme Disease a second time this past summer and I've been having a lot of cardiac symptoms.

I've been having heart palpatations, heart beating crazy on its own even when I'm just laying down, dizziness when I stand up, shortness of breath, and heart palpatations when I stand up, climb stairs, etc.

I went to a Cardiologist last month and in the office, they did an EKG and my heart was beating at 40 beats per minute while I was laying down and then when I sat up, my heart was beating at 70 beats per minute. The doctor ordered an echocardiogram and a holter monitor.

I went back to the Cardiologist today the echo and holter monitor came back normal, even though I was having a lot of cardiac symptoms while I was wearing the holter monitor.

I'm very upset that they weren't able to capture what I've been experiencing and I was crying after the appointment because it's hard living this way and I need help.

Do any of you have suggestions as to things that could help me? I know it's from the Lyme and the first time I had Chronic Lyme years ago, I had these same symptoms and they eventually went away with treatment, but I need help in the meantime.

Hi Miss Victoria!

I have confirmed A-Fib since 2012. I got worse all of a sudden due to mercury I believe and I don't want to take the drugs....I have experienced undesirable side effects with my short tenure with them.

Bottom line. I've been on the search for natural methods and products etc for the last year or so.

Some of what I've found may help you too. First is magnesium (not citrate). I don't have the reference but A-Fib has been arrested in ERs with IV magnesium. Just adjust the dose for your body. Go slow because too much mag for your body can give you loose stools.

What I have learned recently is that the tone of the vagal nerve has a lot of influence on heart rate (and other systems). There are simple things one can do to improve the vagal tone.

Gargeling, deep breathing and meditation are a few. Also stimulating the gag reflex. I have been experimenting with gargeling several times a day and getting some results.

No cost and so simple!! If you do a search you may also find something else that resonates with you.

I am optimistic and since you don't seem to show anything diagnosable with the tests.....this may just help to normalize your heartbeat.

Good luck!!!!

For me, arteminisin and andrographis seemed to help my heart a lot. I think some of my heart symptoms were due to babesia.

I also had some "heart" symptoms that turned out to be heartburn for a while (I could tell when it kept happening that it wasn't actually my heart).

MissV,

Increase in heart rate of 30 points upon standing? Dizziness, fatigue with activity, too?

Sure sounds like classic POTS/dysautonomia, to me.

Do yourself a huge favor and find a neurologist who specializes in tilt-table testing. Have one of those done. Also, be sure to investigate whether or not a small fiber (poly)neuropathy is at play. This can be done through a skin punch biopsy (of the small nerve fibers). A regular EMG nerve conduction study will not assist in capturing any damage done to the small nerve fibers that control the organs involved in the autonomic nervous system (heart, GI tract, etc.),

Best to you as work to figure this all out.

Take care,
Told...

I have it all- SVT, V tach, PVCs, Pacs -24 holter is useless. I had an event monitor you wear for 30 days or more. I had mine for a year as I didn't want to give it up.

I know some don't like I mention Anthony William but he has a different view on that.

http://www.medicalmedium.com/liver-rescue-medical-medium/mystery-heart-palpitations

I have all his books, so I know that this jelly-like substance that sort of blocks blood flow in the heart is from excess of toxins in the liver.

It's BIOFILM that forms in the liver due to 'trouble makers', which he means by infections IN THE LIVER. The liver tries to contain biofilms, and the liver CAN produce a substance that helps dissolve biofilms.

But if it is too overwhelmed, it can't contain it anymore and they go in the blood and cause heart symptoms.

Of course, there could be other problems, he said somewhere else. It could be, like lightfoot said above, neural problems due to toxicity or high nerve inflammation (which block electrical signals and cause heart problems).

The most common though, he says, it's loose biofilms.

He said that when we feel a strange bitter taste in the mouth (that even other people near you can smell, so bitter it is), this is the antidote for the biofilm, that the liver produces.

That bitter substance can dissolve these critter's biofilms WHEN in contact with oxygen. It's a sort of chemical reaction. So when you feel you are feeling bitter taste in the mouth, go for a walk or do light exercises, so that your blood is oxygenated.

That's what I do, at least.

Without oxygen, the biofilm cannot be dissolved, he said.

If you eat too fatty foods, AND /OR you have thick blood (= meaning also your blood lacks hydration), you will have little blood oxygen, because fats make red blood cells stick to themselves and they do not circulate as well as if there were little or no fats.

For me, before I knew Anthony William, I had heart problems basically during lyme disease. When it was SUPER ACTIVE, I got a myriad of symptoms, and my heart was one of the worst symptoms (because it IS scary, as you describe).

With treatment (basically herbs and homeopathy) both antimicrobials, anti inflammation, and organ support AND binders in great amounts, the symptoms went down WHEN infection went down.

So I do think that the explanation of Anthony, that heart problems have to do with infections could hold.

And also, of course, lyme can infect the heart, and that could also be another problem...

I also only treated with NO drugs and controlled my diet back then... Like no allergens, no gluten, etc...
