My acupuncturist has a 4-year-old girl that tested positive for lyme. She said that there were six tests that child had and it wasn't until the sixth one that she showed positive.
Last I heard, the recent tests include 8 species of borrelia. I had assumed this was a single test for all eight rather than eight separate tests. Could someone enlighten me on this matter?
I'm seeing a physician that treats children and I'd like to pass the testing info over to her. I'm assuming the best test is still Igenex Western Blot.
Thanks.

Hi lymenotlite:
It has been over a year since my daughter has had a Igenex WB. Of her 23 WB's by Igenex she never tested positive with by IgeneX of CDC standards.
Now on 3 of those 23 occasion we had a separate text (1 Advanced Lab culture, 2 DNA tests) that were positive.
So even if IgeneX is negative it can still be a false negative.

Maybe he meant 8 bands??
They probably didn't do the best test until the end.
