Hi, I just tested positive for Bartonella, Borrelia Myamotoi and Erlichiosis. I have a sore left ankle, sore soles of the feet and electric shocks in my legs. This all seems like my usual Lyme and Bartonella symptoms. I did have the classic symptoms for relapsing fever with cyclical fevers and sweats.
From the Erlichiosis I have severe headaches, fatigue, eye pain, photophobia, nausea and decreased appetite.
My doctor put me on Rifampin 600mg and Doxy 100 twice a day. I tried it for a month. I had some improvement. I took off a week to treat yeast with diflucan. My Erlichia symptoms came back.
I have decided to use 200 mg of Doxy twice a day with the 600 of Rifampin. I think after 10 days the symptoms are improving.
I was just wondering what other people are doing with their Erlichia treatment.
Thanks, jus

Hi Gus,
I would recommend adding Theralac to the protocol to replenish the good gut bacteria. The anti bacterial medications kill the good with the bad.
Below is what I purchase for my daughter on Amazon. Master Supplements Theralac (2 Pack) - 30 Vegan Capsules - Multi Strain Probiotic for Optimal Gut Health, Immune Booster, Gas and Bloating Relief - Gluten Free - 30 Servings

In my experience, if you've had Ehrlichia for a long time, it can take a very long time of treating it to get rid of it. I know the common wisdom is that it doesn't take a long time of treating it. But it definitely wasn't my experience of it.
The higher doxy dosage is a good idea, even though they say 100 mg twice a day is enough for Ehrlichia. For Lyme, of course, the higher dosage is needed. Not that you should have to dose yourself without a doctor.
It sounds to me like you could benefit from a more comprehensive protocol for the various infections---assuming that you can handle it. Again, it's not a do-it-yourself endeavor.
