I saw a short video on the internet & it mentions Lyme tests can be negative & he is involved with a Lyme Disease Treatment Center at John Hopkins, MD. Does he see patients? Anyone know anything about him/center?

Well, I've been to see another physician in that same office/practice since it would have taken several months to get in with him or Dr. Auwaerter. Still had wait three months to see the one I did.

Dr. M spent an hour with me asked me all kinds of questions, then randomly asked me if I ever felt GUILTY. Seriously.

After all was said & done, he told me I was just depressed and listed the fact that I feel guilty as one of the reasons; that all my symptoms were manifestations of my depression.

They are IDSA all the way. They may provide a bit of treatment if you have a positive test but even that is sometimes not enough.
They have no belief in chronic Lyme.

That was the last specialist I went to see before I finally broke down and went to an LLMD.

Thanks for the info. Are you seeing a doctor now? I am looking for someone. I had a tick bite & bulls-eye rash in 1996. Treated w/ doxy. 3months later had neurological symptoms-eye rolling around, muscle twitching, leg giving out. Then November-flu-like symptoms and others & chronically ill w/ bouts making me bedbound off and on for up to the past few years. symptoms went under surface but still just getting through the day. I just suddenly woke up in June not feeling well & next day-burning, tingling, numbness on skin, rashes, night sweats, joint pain & feeling sick. PCP gave me 30days of doxy but Lyme tests negative. Felt better on a few occasions but not resolved. Don't know what to do now?

marie...

Stay far away from Hopkins!!! Run, don't walk away from them.

Sorry you are feeling poorly. Getting a good doctor would be my best advise at this point.

You can find a list of some of them in my signature below.
