I posted recently about my Stony Brook test which detected bands:
IGG - 64, 41, 58 IGM - 41, 34, 93, 58, 64, 66, 72
I just got my IgenX results and it's reporting no bands detected at all, except 41, which is indeterminate.
I am more confused now than ever. I did do 2 weeks of doxy 2 weeks before the Igenx lab work and I am admittedly feeling better. Also Igenx did the test 10 business days after receiving my sample...does that make a difference? I don't understand why Stony Brook would detect those bands and now Igenx does not. Any insight?

I have results from Stony Brook and I am very confused and my current doctor wants to do a lot of expensive testing.
I have done so much research but I am at a loss for what the results mean. I had an "indeterminate" test. Me results as below:

I can't for the life of me get a straight answer about this, so any insight would be helpful. I am about to spend thousands on tests.

How many days were you off the doxy prior to doing the Igenex blood drawl?
Remember these tests are looking for antibodies, not the bacteria. If your body had stopped making antibodies(maybe because of abx in your system), that's not a good thing. You want your antibodies helping to fight the bad guys.
Quit testing. If you have symptoms and that Stony test is pretty darn positive....determine a treatment plan best for you.

Why the 10 day delay in testing? Was it a culture? Seems like along time.
I was always told to have all blood tests done on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday so that the sample gets sent out right away. Many blood tests show severe changes after 4 hours of sitting around.
I would not waste anymore money on testing unless it's insurance covered, like Quest or Labcorp and only then for maybe monitoring different changes. I've had over 5 western blots, all different reactive bands. Immune status, medications, other viruses and pathogen load all come into play.

Here's a list of reasons why we might get negative test results even tho we have Lyme.
I agree with the above posters. You have positive Stony Brook tests. You're treating and getting a positive response. Keep working on treatment.
