what else are u on? picc or port ?are you pulsing 4 day a week 1 g or 2 ? what are you ob for encysted borrelia?pathogens run to areas of less circulation to avoid termination when mic levels are not strong enough...rocephin is a great anti inflammatory and my extreme bone pain was relieved with that and zithromax...

I'm remembering back to 1995 and 1996. Yes, after my first two weeks of being on Rocephin and feeling like nothing was happening, then the misery started.

Every inch of me hurt. I felt horrible. I figured that my body had become like a battlefield on which a powerful bacteria, the spirochete, and a powerful antibiotic, Rocephin were fighting it out.

After being on Rocephin for a period of time, and from memory, even though I still felt bad, my brain improved tremendously. But then sometimes my brain would also decline.

Overall, I think Rocephin is fantastic......

But I have a modern take on antibiotics (of which I'm still on all these years, and need them to function).

I think something is not quite right with some of our best antibiotics today. I have had the same prescriptions filled back-to-back, one month the prescription is fine, the next month something is not right with the prescription.

So I am not trying to worry you, but possibly the efficacy of the Rocephin is not always the best, as, I suspect, is the issue with some of our other medications today.

I have no answer.

But I do wish you feel better and improve. Somehow keep smiling.

Oh, one more bit of information. I did find that intramuscular ceftriaxone (the generic of Rocephin), that is shots, is just as effective as getting it intravenously (through a mediport or the like).

I hope I've been helpful at all. We're all behind you.

my blood pressure was really high in the last 4 months

like it would go up and down..160/100 or 110 over 170

now after 2.5 months of iv my blood pressure is 120/80

all the time....if you ask me i believe that orals

cannot cross the blood brain barrier..you need iv

that is my opinion and i am NOT a doctor..
