I was wondering if anyone here has seen the study on mice or rats (I forget) that used a triple atb combo on a resistant lyme strain that killed all of the lyme?
No time frames were given or doses. The atb.s were: Daptomycin, Doxycycline, and Cephtriaxone.
How would you pulse this? Pulsing is new to me I've not been here since around 2005 and had never done it.
I hope all is well here!

Yes thank you Bartenderbonnie! I only found one article on it and it had little info. I see it talks about IV being best route though. I don't know if I can do that I seem to have developed a fear of everything. The antabuse is also interesting. Just wonder what the cost on that would be.

antabuse is an old drug now and generics are therefore available
500mg tablets are available for around $60 per 100 so not cost-prohibitive - managing the side effects/Herx seem to be the biggest obstacle.

I went through all this in 2003 after being sick since 1992. I thought I was cured in 2005 but having unexplained multi symptoms that have been creeping up for 10yrs and progressively worse so It was brought to my attention at second appeal for disability by the second psychiatrist that the 1st one sent ssa a document that said that my lyme disease had returned a couple of years ago and with my age I deconditioned developing severe anxiety and depression and was unable to cope with the pain. But even with that they still denied me twice. Anyway, I started researching and now believe what he said. He got all that from memory tests and questioning. I'm going to try to go back to same llmd if I can get appt. I was surprised to see here after all these years all the positives on antabuse and may try if I can get established with same doc and he is willing. I have had herx and they are not fun. I just will have take it easy and slow because of my age. Antabuse seems affordable but worry about doc visits and labs now. I do have some saved but probably wouldn't last couple of months.

I would take a look into chronic viral infections too. They also affect joints, brain, poison the body causing depression etc.

i got rid of lyme in 2009, and so did my daughter. We stopped all treatments, but still kept some supplements on and off...

Slowly, I got some light brain fog, multiple food allergies, my joints kept causing me light problems, then nerves too... Nothing dramatic like lyme, but I wanted these symptoms out.

I do think it's not lyme anymore, but other chronic infections, that creep slowly. I'm on a super anti inflammatory diet (basically fruits, veggies, potatoes, low protein, low fat), and finally, I see results coming. Slowly but surely.

Just wanted to write this here, so that you know there are others with similar stories than yours.

my daughter had episodes of depression, anxiety, and panic attacks around 2017-8. Blood problems (low iron) too. Mutliple food allergies. She's following the diet with me, and depression /panic attacks are now past history.

She's been free of these episodes for about a year. I do think a lot of psycho symptoms are MORE than mind problems, but have to do with toxicity of chronic infections or toxic blood....

Antabuse may not be possible because from 1994-2005 I did have left temporal lobe seizure disorder. Also the depression/anxiety problem.

Since then all EEGs have been negative. Unless he would let me do tiny doses to increase.

I didn't know vancomycin was part of the mice experiment. I thought just daptomycin, doxycycline, and ceftriaxone.

Wow so many new studies with potential since literally being here last.

Daptocycin, doxycycline, ceftriaxone combo in the mice study

Stevia leaf study

Antabuse in vitro study
