I am confused about what is causing my dizziness - vertigo as well as ataxia. It started Jan 18 after going to the dentist. I had it the month before also but not nearly as long.

I thought wy problem was just Bartonella because I have sore feet in the AM and daily headaches.

I have been exhausted for five years - If I exerted myself at all I felt like I did not have enough oxygen. I did 49 days of Disulfiram which knocked me out. My air hunger was so bad I felt like I was suffocating. I had improvement in my energy after stopping it but then I began getting dizzy.

I just finished a round of Coartem yesterday. Still dizzy.

I am sorry you are going through this. I have had the samething for two years constantly. I tested positive for basbesia but now its negative.

My lyme doc told me she doesn't know what is causing it. She wanted me to go on disufiram but I declined. Do you think that drug helped you at all or made you worse?

I am also suppose to do coartem for six days straight, 24 pills within those days and redo in three weeks. How did you do on coartem? Wish I had some answers for you. It is a horrible symptom.

(breaking up the paragraph for easier reading for many here)

No idea at all whether this possibility is affecting you - I am dizzy when my neck vertebrae are subluxated - ie in the wrong place. A good chiropractor can check the neck. For me, dislocations of C1, C2 and C4 can cause dizziness.

Robin, I went to a chiropractor. She adjusted my neck and it didn't help.

Lindadanis, Disulfiram was heavy duty. I did not have dizziness while on it but I was so exhausted I could hardly stand up. I slept 12 to 15 hours a day. My cognition was the worst it has ever been and so was my air hunger.

I had to quit when I began to get stabbing nerve pain. Neuropathy is a side effect. I was taking 250mg for 41 days. My current LLMD says that was too high.

It took two weeks to get out of my system. Then I started Bactrim and Biaxin with Methylene Blue. I had a quick rebound, regaining more energy than I have had in years.

I quit the MB because it was causing bladder irritation. I may try that again and take it less often. I was taking 50mg twice a day. It stains everything blue so you have to be careful with it.

After about a month of feeling much better my headaches came back and then after a dental appointment I started getting dizzy. I have been juggling drugs ever since trying to figure out what is causing it.

I treated Bartonella in 2009 and again in 2013. I treated Babesia in 2011. I went for five years without doing anything and became very sick again (ignored symptoms). I just started treating again last summer.

I got Babesia into remission with Malarone and rounds of Coartem. I did six rounds 3 weeks apart. It was very effective. I am doing Coartem again, this time two weeks apart.

I am not even sure I have Babesia. I just have symptoms of it. My mental cognition is poor. Before DSF I felt oxygen deprived every time I exerted myself the slightest bit. Since DSF I have had some night sweats. I have daily headaches.

I started Rifabutin this morning. Hopefully the dizziness will go away.
