Had blood work done the other day and I still have an ongoing current EBV infection. My numbers are even higher than they were 6 months ago.

EBV seems to be very prevalent in the lyme community so I'm sure many on here have had it on and off ( or know someone).

Valtrex wasn't a good option for me when I had it last summer. What helped others? I will hopefully hear from my LLMD later on. Thank you!

For chronic EBV that continually reactivates, have you considered herbal treatment instead?

Here's some good reading and recommended herbals for treating reactivation.

sorry to hear this. Did Dr. H order more testing and if so, where did you go for bloodwork? I am assuming you will be talking to her soon. Text me and give me an update.

I found a great website about viruses, testing, treatments and supplements from doctors who treat chronic fatigue patients. Copy and save as it is very detailed and you might like to refer back to it from time to time, or print it out to take to your doctor.

Stephen Buhner also has herbal antiviral treatments that work for many people with EBV and other viruses and has published a book on the topic.
"Herbal Antivirals," I think - his work is always some of the best-researched material you will find - and his partner is in clinical practice so they can tie the research to the outcomes in the clinic

Chinese Skullcap, licorice, houttuynia, isatis all come to mind
