Past few days I've had big increase in bloating, and acid. To the point where it's hard to get food and pills down bc the bloat makes me not hungry.
Almost nauseated but not quite.
Stools have gotten increasingly skinny.

Also b4 that I've had increase in headaches and a nasty pain in side of my neck that is not muscular or bone. Keeps me awake until I take advils.

Assuming not cancer, what Couid cause this? I did a cdsa about 15 days ago and waiting for results.

Also, ways to soothe the gi system and ease bloat?

Some of the symptoms could be caused by an H-Pylori infection. The head and neck symptoms probably not.

It is possible that your spine and/or neck is out of place and causing all of the symptoms. Possibly a chiropractor could help.

I've been wanting to do that test actually, just cost is preventing me. But I may do it anyway.

The neck, up into the head feels like inflammation. But of what, I dont know.

Dr Burrasco believes Bartonella is the next most common cause of gastritis - after H. Pylori.

my partner and I both have bloating and discomfort after meals since getting ill - Bart is high on the list of possibles - but testing is problematic. in my case Endoscopy confirms gastritis but no conclusion on cause.

however, in the meantime, we have had significant help from dietary changes.
as a result, we now eat a strict whole food keto-type diet and gut issues are dramatically better as is overall energy and functioning.

other options to test for are - SIBO - easy to do a home test using lactulose breath testing kits.

SIBO seems common in chronic illness - especially anything like lyme that can interfere with autonomic functions - like the body's management of the gut. blood pressure, heart rate, sweating, etc etc but also hypothyroid conditions ( also common with Lyme)

You can also try adding Betain HCL with meals to see if you get improvement - according to the most respected functional medicine doctors - GERD is caused by TOO LITTLE stomach acid (not too much)- leading to bacterial growth and fermentation in the small intestine (the bit nearest the stomach) and the resulting gases forcing their way back up into the stomach carrying acid and bile with them and hence GERD symptoms.

They maintain that this means that despite antacids being the world's biggest-selling medication, antacids actually make the problem worse - not better and do nothing to treat the underlying issue.
Betaine HCL is v safe - and available from any health food/supplements place.
so perhaps worth a try....
