I know this is a bizarre way of describing it, but for the last 4 months I have gone even more downhill then I already was.

It started with all over itching. Legs, arms, back. Went to doctor as I had a rash by the crease of my leg and he said possibly contact dermatitis. Gave a cream which didn't do anything. Another doctor did testing and thought I had a fungal rash and gave me cream and eventually rash and itching went away.

I have now maybe 3 or 4 times come up in a red rash all over my face, which will last for about 30 minutes and then disappear. I would try and fall asleep and wake up gasping and my chest started to get tight.

I started having symptoms I had never had before in the 6 years I have been sick. I went out and had a full on panic attack in my car, something I have never experienced before. I was hyperventilating and it was just a very scary experience.

I started to have what I can only describe as a throat closing sensation. It feels like something is restricting my throat and it is an awful feeling. Sometimes when I swallow my throat clicks, and it feels like I am being strangled or drowning.

I also have a really sore itchy throat, itchy ears, itching inside nose, runny and stuffy nose, and the super tight chest.

I will easily run 99-100 degrees and my face will burn up so I can feel when my temp is increasing. I have tried allergy meds but it didn't put a dent in my symptoms.

I have been tested three times for corona too and the antibody test was negative. I actually thought at first this was corona due to the chest stuff.

I have also had an increase in feeling wobbly, off balance, extreme nausea episodes, vibrating, tingling, and tight muscles.

Has anyone had anything similar? Please help. I am miserable and half the time I wonder if I should go to the ER and I just feel like I am going to be stuck with this awful throat feeling forever with no answers.

(breaking up the post for easier reading for many here)

Hi - I read in your post in General Support that your dad has been spending a lot of money trying to figure out what's going on with you.

Have you gone to any Lyme doctor or functional medicine doctor yet? If not, you can post in Seeking a Doctor for referrals and people will respond. You can improve, but I think you need to be working with a knowledgeable Lyme doctor.

One possibility for the throat closing and the itching is that your body might be trying to detox.

Do you know whether you can handle heat? If so, detoxing in a far infrared sauna tent could be an option - they sell them most cheaply on ebay. We sit in the tent until we we sweat, then shower off warm and cool. Also recommended to take Takesumi charcoal powder to help bind toxins.

That's interesting that you said an anti-fungal cream made your symptoms go down. I think you need to see a knowledgeable doctor who knows about it all - the bacteria, fungi, yeast, parasites, etc.

Only guessing here - when I get a tight throat, for me it means my C4 vertebra is subluxated. My chiropractor adjusts my neck and my swallowing/talking difficulty clears up. The chiro needs to be a good neck adjuster to check out this possibility.

When my C1/C2 vertebrae are out of place, I get dizzy, wobbly, nauseated. When the chiropractor fixes this, symptoms stop. So this is an experiment you could try, to see whether your cervical spine is out.

I think when you're hyperventilating you're supposed to put a small bag over your nose and mouth to slow this down? I'm not a doctor but that's what I recall others being told to do that when hyperventilating.

All we can do is try stuff. When I first started drinking mangosteen juice to clear up my visual problems, my sinuses ran for 48 hours. It's an experiment you could try. Mangosteen juice is a strong antioxidant juice, meaning it counters inflammation in the body. I get it at the healthfood store.

Tight muscles can be helped by taking magnesium.

Vibrating/tingling is nerve sensations, basically pointing to a Lyme diagnosis and need for treatment with a Lyme doctor.

In closing, in general, the ER doesn't know what to do with us, since we generally have chronic conditions.

And no, you don't have to be stuck forever - we are all unique and our solutions are unique. Usually a good Lyme doctor will order bloodtesting and other possible tests to see your chemistry, and then work with you on treatments.

But we also have to try to see if the treatments work for us. The goal is to get some bingos and start to feel better.
