no-but there are more and more people w/ symptoms following those infected w/ covid. heart, neur & psych. sounds so much like lyme. I don't know if they do any further treatment.

I don’t think they do more treatment but I know my friend who has been on oxygen from covid since July gets her heart monitored.

it is becoming increasingly clear that a significant proportion of people who get covid get odd lasting or re-occurring symptoms
things like fatigue, breathlessness, heart arrhythmias or CNS symptoms.

they no longer have detectable virus particles in these patients - so it looks like this is some kind of ongoing disturbance of the immune system triggered by the original viral infection.

its not yet well understood who will get this "long tail" form of covid and who will not.

they are just beginning to figure out the mechanisms involved ( Bradykinins have been mentioned) and the markers to predict it.

in the meantime, all we can do is take measures to avoid infection - social distancing, etc
and ensure we are as healthy as possible if we are infected we are less likely to suffer these effects.

Post-Covid syndrome is/was being studied at Mt. Sinai in NYC. I won't name the docs involved but I saw a show about it on 60 Minutes.

The "long haulers" are suffering moderate to horrific symptoms and the crossover of symptoms with chronic Lyme/TBDs is amazingly similar.

A retrospective study of post Covid patients was completed with self assessments for ongoing symptoms. The patients in the study responded to 78 symptoms. Can someone find the study and post the link, please?

There are photos, explanations of each symptom and the numbers of patients in the study who responded to each.
