Oh awful !! You might want to monitor your intake of oxalates in your diet.

They can definitely cause shoulder problems and other joint pain.

Marie,

I struggled quite a lot with right shoulder pain but I do not think it had anything to do with lyme? Do you lift or do any sort of work out?

No-Rheum thinks its inflammation. Started Celebrex. Now on gabapentin also w/ neur. Taking turmeric and fish oil which didn't help. Celebrex helped with shoulder a little. Gabapentin helped some with sick feeling. Still have burning, numbness, prickling on skin with other symptoms.

I see. I have been fasting for over a year now and my inflammation level has decreased quite a lot. On top of that I am feeling great. :-)

Stay safe out there :-)

Oxalates can cause inflammation.

may be radiculitis (inflammation of the radial nerves that exit the spinal column and feed the shoulder and arm)
pain ( often severe) limited movement, loss of strength, numbness tingling, etc - especially if the pain seems to radiate down the arm

It's a classic sign of Lyme that was documented as associated with tick bites long before the cause ( lyme ) was ever identified.
typically arises as part of the initial phase of infection - but as with many Lyme symptoms can come and go during the chronic phase also

Bannwarths syndrome

typically it will resolve in time - anti-inflammatory herbs or ABX may help

Marie,
It's been three months since you posted this.
How is your shoulder doing now?

Not better. PT doesn't seem to help. Other symptoms much worse.

Marie,

Have you had a MRI?

2 years ago I tore my rotator cuff—totally unrelated to Lyme.

Pain went all the way down to my elbow.

I tried PT before the MRI but the pain got worse.

Finally had surgery. Shoulder is better but still acts up if I overdo.

Greetings All! Problematic joint pain after physical exertion is a very common problem that bothers athletes of all kinds most often. Elbows love to pinch a nerve, and shoulders are very often out of joint or damaging to muscles, nerves and tendons as a result of physical exertion due to body weight and surrounding factors. I can advise you a warming corset that fixes the joints and keeps them from moving too freely. It helped me, at powerlifting competitions I was able to lift 120 kilograms without affecting my shoulders. Explore more information on a website I recently found - https://cameronmch.com/services/orthopaedics/torn-rotator-cuffs/. I hope I helped you. I wish you the best of luck!

I have right shoulder pain with limited lift, but I also have a bonafide shoulder injury. Numerous docs have told me that if no injury, it can indicate liver stress. I'm not a doctor, but have heard this from several alternative docs as well.
