I thought I would post this article. The phenomenon of COVID Long Hauler's is one I am following closely and hugely interested in.
Most of these people who still are symptomatic a year + later are describing many of the symptoms lyme patients have described for years with Chronic Lyme.
I wonder if they are the same illness. Either a) perhaps the Covid long haulers have a stealth Lyme infection (or other TBD.) or b) Perhaps the "long haul" illness and Chronic lyme symptoms aren't due to the bug / germ itself, but rather some other issue of an immune system gone haywire, driving the symptoms.
Either way, I hope the research going into COVID long haulers benefit the Lyme community as they are describing very similar illnesses.
There are a lot of things that don't add up both with the whole Lyme disease controversy and the Covid pandemic.
One thing is for sure, a lot of good people are suffering and someone, somewhere, isn't telling the whole story. I only hope somehow everything comes out and truthfully.
