Some lucky people do not get infested even while living with infected ones. What is the common denominator of these fortunate people? Thanks for all replies.

My husband hasn’t gotten sick in many years of living with me. His immune system has reacted to borrelli.
He’s never had the flu in his life, the same for his mother. They never got flu shots. I think it’s a case of carefully choosing your parents if you want a strong immune system.(joke)

He’s not being treated for Lyme disease. That has been the total difference for many years.
His family is very healthy. His grandmother and great aunt were working full time well into their 90’s—doing crafts, 40 hours a week, in their shop.
That’s why I said to carefully choose your parents if you want a long healthy life.

I've been married for 48 years and as far as we know, my husband does not have Lyme.
I've had it since I was about 8 years old.

I had it since 20 years old.so 32 years.my test and his test was Lyme positive same.but I lost memory he did not.
He got bit 10 years ago.he still function I am disable.i treated he did not.muscle testing showed I had it in my brain he did not.so figure it out.
My CD 57 is 110 his 30.I can't drive he is working.

I have an "out there" theory that we are attracted to mates with immune systems/genetics that are diverse from our own.
This makes sense from an evolutionary standpoint, as if one partner became disabled by a pathogen, the other would still be able to care for offspring.
It seems many couples experience this; both test positive for Lyme, but it only seriously affects one. The same has been reported with Covid-19.
