Hey guys. I have quite a few nerve related issues... Pain (which is why I'm on disability - - it's horrible) splinter, electrical, pokes, needles. But another I wondered if anyone knew of or had, that's allodynia... Sensitive areas.
In 2016, I had an area on my index finger rt hand. Now I have also an area on top and bottom of same hand, as well as upper back, left side.
A tune know what infection causes this? It's scaring me like I won't be able to be touched or pet my dog. I read an article on the lyme disease website of a girl who had this on her whole upper torso.
What has helped with this?

its a form of neuropathy - caused by damage to nerves triggered by infection
typically associated most strongly with Lyme and Bart
lyme is very well documented to cause this - however like a lot of lyme symptoms it often goes away or moves around by itself.
some find anti-inflammatory herbs help - like buhners protocols - knotweed, skullcap etc
some favour glutathione - while others find it flares their symptoms
for others - changing their diet to low carb - low inflammatory foods ( no grains, no starches, no processed foods, no industrially produced seed oils ) helps their symptoms settle down.
like so many other symptoms of Lyme - no one thing works for all - so we have to try different things till we find something that helps us

Have you considered trying cold laser therapy?

It's torture.
Not sure if it's due to infections directly, or auto-immune activity damaging nerves.
A test to consider is a skin punch biopsy (a rheumatologist or dermatologist can do it). Therapath is one lab: therapath.com
Don't waste your time with neurologists, who are generally clueless about this (even though the symptoms seem "neurological").
Saunas (Far-Infrared) have helped me some.

Thank you guys. That's a bit what I figured. I guessed either Lyme or Bart. And I think I have both.
I have tried cold laser on my feet, which have nerve pain, but saw no difference.
I have considered that punch test yes, in the past b/c of nerve pain, but could not find any lab that would do it.

Are there any updates for now? I hope that you are doing well and got professional treatment. I would not recommend self-diagnosing to anyone because you are not a doctor to know for sure. There can be so many kinds of diseases that you cannot know. A wrong diagnosis can have serious consequences for your health. That’s why it’s always better to look for a good doctor in the area. In your case, I would recommend seeing a neurologist or a dermatologist. There are some great doctors in https://www.vitalskinderm.com/locations/bella-pelle/. Some people come there even from other states to get the help that only this center can offer.
