It's been awhile since I have been on here. I have the worst taste in my mouth. It feels like my tongue is on fire. I haven't been on any treatment since May and it seems like this symptom which I had on and off for years is getting worse. Does anyone have a cluee as to what this could be? Thanks.

It sounds like a form of neuropathy, at least the burning mouth symptom. The worst taste symptom could be from numerous things, toxicity, heavy metals, etc.

Do not neglect dealing with this pronto. Neuropathy that is allowed to keep rampaging in your body spreads and becomes permanent. Lyme is known to cause this.

If I were you, I would high-tail it to my LLMD and perhaps get tested----or at least treated.

Also, I would be good to see a neurologist. If the burning pain is only in you mouth, I'm not sure how they would approach it. But burning pain from neuropathy has a propensity of spreading in your body, and you do NOT want that!

It would be ideal to have a LL neurologist, but that is extremely problematic now in my experience.

Thank you- I already have a neurologist and he is clueless. I have burning everywhere as well.Rife makes everything burn more. I am so lost with this.

I am checking with a friend who has the same issues although not in the mouth. She can’t wear shoes.

I will come back and post what has helped her. I know rife made it worse for her.

It may be a few days before she gets back to me as she doesn’t post here.

Hang in there.

Okay, I talked to my friend who has burning.

She said that soaking in warm water helped. Seems contradictory but that is what she said.

She also said that when her tongue burned it was usually yeast related.

Finally she said that Elavil at night took the edge off for her.

Elavil is normally an antidepressant but used in higher doses can help neuropathy and aid in sleep, too. She uses 25 mg but obviously this needs to be prescribed.

Blessings.

Thank you Hiker. There is no yeast at all so I assume it is nerve related. I will try the elavil. I appreciate you trying to help me figure this out. It has been a rough road.

Dealing with sinus problems right now. But managing.

Thanks for asking.

My major Lyme issues are imbalance and myoclonic seizures.
