My mom had it severely bc she was diabetic. Where just light touch is actually painful. Just in her feet tho.
She also had nerve pain from diabetes. She's passed now but I remember thinking at the time... I hope to God I never get those things. Theyre the worst kinds of pain I could imagine.

And viola... I got both bc of lyme. My own nightmare come true.

Anyway, is the allodynia caused by bart? I didn't see anyone mention which Co infection is causing this.

(Just fyi: Allodynia is defined as "pain due to a stimulus that does not normally provoke pain." An example would be a light feather touch (that should only produce sensation), causing pain")

While I don't know exactly which co-infection causes it, our son has been suffering for many years with this in addition to other problems - he hurts even more to be touched. We have tried many, many things (and still are trying!) to help him!

I have read and our son's LLMDs mentioned the cause could be a number of things: inflammation from the infection itself, nerve damage, Borrelia bacteria liking connective tissue and entrenching themselves even deeper into the body, etc.

I read an interesting article written about this by a doctor who had Lyme and what helped him.

Thx hon. I knew most of that except the particular herbs.
Does your son's intensity of the sympyims go up and down?
If anything seems to hrlp please let me know.
The paet of my hand that had gotten worse suddenly is gone but think is slowly coming back again. A month ago, had a kind of bone pain or growing pain sensation in my rt hand that lasted about 10 days.

I'm not on many Killers at all bc my Dr saud to temp stop thrm due to repairing my gut--I'm having trouble absorbing what I put in.
