Lately ive had a recurrence of nausea, lack of appetite, ibs and dry eye. I remember having worse dry eye a few years back and think it might have correlated with lyme but cant remember.
Now i am wondering if my dry eye can be tick related. Has anyone had dry eye from lyme or babesia and had it resolve with treatment? Thanks❤️😊

one common mechanism for dry eye is an auto-immune reaction caused by the infections - especially if dry mouth is also present
lyme and bartonella in particular seem to drive this type of thing
it often seems to resolve with treatment it may come and go
it may not be a typical manifestation of auto-immune disease which are normally not easily reversed - but could be a transitory condition driven by the infection

You might want to get checked for Sjogren's .. I have it.
I use Restasis and also an eye ointment at night.

I got this after covid. For me it eventually went away.

Lymetoo,
Isn't Restasis immunosuppressive? Of course, even if it is, losing one's vision is worse!
Also, I know that you said that punctual plugs have helped you a lot. Are yours permanent?
My eye doctor kept dismissing my wanting to try them. She said, they fall in, or they fall out a lot. But I thought that if they help, they can be permanently inserted, right?
Thank you!
Plus, I worry that when I go on Medicare (soon), both Restasis and Xiidra, which I'm using, are massively expensive and not affordable. Now, I get a manufacturer's coupon to help with the co-pay. But those aren't allowed on Medicare!! Just when you need them.
