Dr. B of Hoffman Estates(near Chicago) has closed her practice. Does anyone know of a good LLMD in Illinois. I heard there might be one in McHenry? Does anyone know?
I have been seeing Dr. C in MO, but would prefer someone closer. I live in central Illinois and basically it ends up being a two day trip to the doctor. For those who work that's not good.
PM me if you have ideas. Bill the Lyme Guy is in the same predicament I am in, so any info I get I will pass along to him. Hiker

Thanks Betty,
I may check out this doctor, although she is no closer than Dr. C in Missouri. She sounds wonderful. Hiker

Please share information with all of us. PM with specific information is great, but there are many in Illinois who are looking for a LLMD without driving 1000 miles round trip. Ann

I would say driving 1000 miles round trip is a very good investment in the rest of your life. I dont think you can travel TOO far to see a GOOD LLMD!!!
After you are very very sick and or dead, did a few extra miles make all that much difference when you are talking the quality of life issues???
Even 10,000 miles is NOT so important. There ARE people from other parts of the world that come see USA doctors, is it TOO far for them???
Sure we want everything good in our back yard,,,and nothing bad in our same back yard. But 500 miles is just like BEING in our back yard,,,isnt it??? Times are a changin.!!! Take the trip. Make a mini vacation out of it, instead of a chore. There are always sites to see, scenic routes to take, things to do!!! Places to stop.
NEVER say it is TOO far!!!!! My health isnt worth it!!! Gas vs loved one,,, which do I want worse??? DO what ya GOTTA do, get there!!!!!!
