Ooooh, go me, learning the Lyme lingo! Is there a thread for that? There should be! I logged on and saw herx, duck, abx, etc. and had to puzzle everything out through my brain fog!

ANYWAY, I'm here to check out two docs that I'm supposed to be seeing this week - one in East TN (Dr. R) and one in Western NC (Dr. B). Anyone have info on these two? They both wanted a $50 down payment on my appointment, and neither are in my insurance network. I'm thinking that's probably pretty typical.

I'm trying to follow the online "rules" for doc info - please tell me if I did it wrong and I'll edit this post!

Thanks, guys - I already feel welcome and safe here!
xoxo

Welcome!

I live in E. TN and am wondering which doctors you are going to see. As far as I know, there are no docs here who actively treat Lyme.

Please PM me and let me know more about your doctor visits. I am very interested.

I have a LLMD in NC but he is not able to prescribe antibiotics right now. I hope that I can be helpful with what you are doing.

As far as charging $50 upfront for an appt., that is VERY inexpensive comparatively. The doc in NC charges $700 for a first visit but it is usually for 3+ hours. The rate decreases with each visit.

To send a PM (private message) just click on the icon showing two people facing each other.

Best wishes,
Janet

Never heard of either of those!
