Okay, here I am. It seems as though I have Lyme Disease. (Positive WB and symptoms). It's been 3 months.

So, I want to go to someone VERY good. I want to go now.

I've called the few local(within several hours) LLMDs and they are booked for months.

I called a great LLMD (I've heard) in Tampa and they require that my local doctor sends a referral AND a statement that he will carry out the prescribed treatment. They require this BEFORE they will decide if they will see me. I can't imagine any doctor will sign that!

So, how do I get to see someone GREAT and QUICK?

Lily (getting concerned)

Dr. C's office DOES require that. It is just a short form (they send it to you in the starter package). Your Dr. has to agree to work with Dr. C's protocol. I did not have a problem getting my Dr. to sign the form, others I know have had the same experience.

I think he was GLAD to have me off his hands! [Eek!]

I also wanted to add, that the main reason for wanting your Dr. to help with the protocol, is if you live a distance away, and have any problems with an allergic reaction he wants to make sure you are taken care of properly.

I call that a responsible Dr.. [Big Grin]

He still treats you fully and you see him for all treatments..unless it is IV and then that is administered under your Dr.'s care per Dr. C's instructions.

Lily,
You have 5 posts in the Seeking forum that have given you information on LLMD's.

It would not be abnormal to have to wait a bit of time to see a good Dr. I hope you have an appointment with one.

Thanks for the info about Dr. C. I guess it makes more sense looking at the information when you present it in that way.

I know I have posted under looking for LLMDs several times. I've gotten great feedback and I appreciate all of the help. It just feels plain aweful to have these symptoms, to have test results in hand AND to know that earlier treatment is best...and to still not be able to get that treatment quickly. That is the reason for all of my posts [Smile]
