Hi, Southeast Michigan Male
My experience is relatively long and as of yet still undiagnosed with Lyme however I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, I think mostly because the Dr.'s have thrown up their hands not being able to prove anything with their testing.

anyway heres a quick rundown

early summer 2006 noticed a bullseye rash on my abdomen. Didn't think a whole lot of it because I was not aware of what it represented. I am so regretful of that now!

Since then I have had a entire miriad of health problems, mostly arthralgia, myalgia, but alot of organ related issues that seem to just vanish after they have ran their course only to move somewhere else. I have been through many, many, scans, blood tests, different drugs,
chiropractors, homeopathics, naturopathics, supplements,my gosh you name it, I have done everything I could to try to make myself well(unsucsessfully)

I have been through a few Dr.'s who will not or are not authorized to do anything but the standard Lyme test, ELISA I think its called, and only one would do that. It of course was negative. In fact he just gave a blank stare when I told him I had the EM rash!!! And said, what are the odds of that?? The only thing good about that Doc is that he doesn't believe in Fibromyalgia so he ran me thru every test imaginable. Now that passed all the tests and I'm still sick he doesn't know what to do

Now I am just so sick of being sick and going to the hospital for tests that I am going to have to battle this myself. I cannot find a Dr. even close to my area that will hardly even consider Lyme!! This is NUTS!!!! We have Lyme disease here!! deer by the thousands and deer ticks so bad, we have identified them and constantly are pulling them off our pets and ourselves. Anyway I am looking for help, was hoping to live more then 44 years, some days it doesn't seem possible. Hope this place will garner some hope!

FORGET about any more tests,,,the bullseye is dx all by itself,,,sorry to say you 'DO' have lyme,,,whether the ducks you see are brain dead to it OR not!!

"I" dont know of any LLMD's in Mich. One in Milwakee and a couple in western Penn. Take your pick.

Somebody else MAY know somebody there. Post a help wanted WITH your area so those that 'know' CAN help!!

LOTS of states have NO doc worth going to in there home state!! IB--just don--

Thanks,
I really need the help, everything is such a major task anymore I don't know if I can fathom, getting the help I need to survive this garbage.

So what is the first step in getting diagnosed?
Is it find the Dr who will treat?
or somehow get blood samples to a lab?
any help here would be greatly appreciated.

I will also try to contact the MLDA for direction.
