If someone Private Messages me and asks me who my doctor is, should I tell them?

I got a PM saying "who is your doctor, mine is Dr *blank*, is that who yours is?"

It just seemed a little suspicious and I don't know what the rules on these type of things are.

hmmm... I would go by how long the person has been on the board.

HOWEVER!!! I have been known to tell newbies to ask around when they see someone from their area when they are searching for a new LLMD.

We can give them NAMES, but they need help on who to choose from those in the trenches.

Maybe I shouldn't recommend this line of finding out info.

yes, you may give full names/city/state PRIVATELY.

yes, as tutu said; how many posts does this person have..... ONE or many more.

click on their profile to learn more and click on VIEW CURRENT POSTS to see what they have posted about.

lymielaura,

i felt the same way when people were pming me about my doc.

My LLMD, to me, is like close family.

I have simply not responded to some pm's because i was not sure if my doc would be safe.

I think it's sad we even have to worry about that...
...really sad.
