Hello, I was diagnosed with Lyme disease in January after a few blood tests. I have been having the symptoms for close to a year now. I have been taking Doxicycline for 6 weeks. A great deal of lethargy has been cleared up, but I have puffy ankles, and they are in pain. I also have increasing bouts of dizziness, lack of concentration, confusion and lightheadedness. I still get arthritic pains in my wrists and shins. My doctor insisted that, since I was allergic to Penicillin, Dox was my only option. After 6 weeks, I am nervous about taking more antibiotics. Plus my Dr. isnt all that great. Can someone recommend a lyme Specialist in the North Jersey area? Thanks!
