I need to find a lyme specialist in CT, I have been sick for over two months and primary care doctor has given up since I am not responding to Amoxicylin and Doxi I am allergic too come to find out. The worst of all my symptoms is the dizziness, stiff neck with pain to my inner ears and feel naseua every day, and that's just a few symptoms, I feel like Im never going to feel normal again. I will try to list briefly symptoms I have had or are experiencing now, any help is greatly appreciated (lyme test positive):

Onset started over two months ago with fever for a weekend, then declined to dizzy, naseau, fatigue, knees hurt and within a week I went to hospital and could not even walk, hospital did not know what was wrong, with that said:

Dizzy
Neck Stiff, feels like a cement block
pain in inner ears, ringing sometimes
headaches
dry throat
Went to ER once thinking having heart attack (they said it was muscular/skeletal pain cause of lyme at that point and just doped me up which didnt help)
Knees are the worst, have other joint pain, sometimes hard to walk
fatigue
feel like Im going to faint alot
upset stomach
muscle aches
other symptoms but this is the majority

I have been a healthy person before this, I have never been sick for this long and it is depressing that there doesnt seem to be a cure, it's even hard to drive sometimes which is a big problem of course. I need to find a doctor who is experienced with Lyme and can assess my situation and hopefully find a path I can follow for recovery. This has been a nightmare. Thank you.

Thanks for the messages sent, just a quick update that I was sent to an infectious disease specialist which I had to wait two weeks to see and two more weeks for a bunch of blood work for him to tell me, he doesnt think I have lyme because part 1 was positive and part 2 was negative and sent me back to primary care physician. Well my primary care was very upset, they expected him to confirm diagnosis and start an IV with antibotics. My primary care said of course it will be negative on part 2 because i started early treatment of antibotics before but the very first test was positive on both, needless to say this has been a roller coaster ride and suffered all the way. Now I am on a different antibotic and well see how I respond to that. I just want to feel normal again. Thanks again for your messages, it's comforting that other people can understand, from the outside I only looked fatigued, on the inside there is a war going on and I am losing [Frown]

My son is going through the same thing. It's difficult when it hits that hard.

Never give up. We found a doctor who is helping him... and you will too. ID doctors are wolves in sheep's clothing. I thought ID was the answer too until I found out they are in the pocket of the insurance companies...

Unfortunate that really sick people get thrown aside because of greed and corruption. I never knew how bad it was until my son got sick.

Be well!
