We live in Ontario, Canada, and my husband has been ill for about 2 years. He has seen many doctors, had loads of tests, and still no one has been able to help him. He had the basic ELISA test for Lyme, which of course was negative. The official medical diagnosis was "probably ALS"

He is highly symptomatic of Lyme (neuromuscular issues), and his condition is deteriorating.

He is a nature photographer, who is always tramping about in the woods and fields, so the possibility of contact with ticks is very high. Furthermore, he works in areas where the number of Lyme cases is rapidly increasing.

He is 57 years of age.

Are there any Canadian Lyme specialists?

Welcome to Lymenet! Unfortunately, I don't know of any Lyme-literate doctors (LLMDs) in Canada.

Check www.canlyme.com

Click the upper left-hand side (green box) where it says, "Get Support". It will give you various support groups for different areas in Canada.

I highly recommend you read the book, "Cure Unknown", by Pamela Weintraub. Check your local library or purchase it used on Amazon.

View the DVD, "Under Our Skin", for free on www.hulu.com
