Hi, I'm a former Lyme patient (positive by CDC criteria!), who improved dramatically once going off antibiotics, only to suffer an awful "relapse" six years later. I put "relapse" in quotes because the symptoms are very different from the first time--I actually suspect Bartonella more than Lyme.
I'm in the SF Bay Area, and looking for some help in treating this. I don't want to go back to my old LLMD, whom I feel overtreated the Lyme to the point that I was sick from the antibiotics themselves. I also don't know if he's even taking new patients, and not having seen him for almost 7 years, that's what I would be really.
Any suggestions?
