I asked on ILADS site during the summer and the LLMDs they gave were 1 in Raleigh 6-7 hrs away who had poor patient ratings, and a sports doctor in Richmond Va (east Va).

I need an LLMD who is open to herbal healing, HBOT, EWOT. Antibiotics are not an option for me.

Any help will be appreciated.

Check the online state Lyme groups at:

Maybe they can help you.

I do not recommend ILADS as a source of doctors names. They give out the name of every doctor who takes their short course and wants his name given out. So, the doc may have never treated a single lyme patient in his life.

ILADS now realizes that they are giving out names of doctors who don't even follow the ILADS lyme treatment guidelines. One top lyme doctor told a patient that ILADS is now trying to figure out how to make their doctor referral service better. This was a number of months ago. No change yet.

I can tell you that south of D.C., there just are very, very few good lyme doctors. You have to come north to get to somebody good, as a general rule.

I did a search of prior posts for you.

One poster from Tenn got a totally incompetent "lyme doctor" name from ILADS and told us all about it. Then, she came north for treatment and is now very happy.

So, do a lot of research and be willing to travel. You want a doctor who you know has cured at least one person, better yet 3 people. Lots of doctors treat lyme disease, but only a very few know enough to get rid of it for a person. That's what I learned in my over 11 years of being around this disease.

So, personal recommendations are the way to go with this disease.

The doc is the key. Can't emphasize that enough. You have to get the name of a doc who is curing people. I know a few such names. I got rid of lyme over 8 1/2 years ago. (I had lyme undiagnosed at least 10 years, plus babs and bart.)

I send people to doctors who follow the Burrascano protocol because that is what worked for me. It has also worked for a number of my friends.

Most of these doctors are also willing to treat with herbs.
