Looking for a Lyme literate doctor in enfield/east windsor CT. I am having all kinds of symptoms and have had a positive ELISA test with negative western blot test

I am afraid of both Lyme and MS

I have had numbness in toes and face, tingling in feet and lower legs, tonight one whole leg fell "asleep" for about 5 seconds. Have also had some pain on left leg on side of quad and under knee like I have an injury but the pain comes and goes. I have 2 small kids and am scared out of my mind.

Any advice or expertise is appreciated

Welcome to Lymenet! PM sent for CT.

You need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue abut his horrible disease!

When calling for an appointment, ask if they have any cancellations or a waiting list. Patients have been able to get in sooner by doing this.

Most LLMDs do not accept insurance due to the politics surrounding this horrible disease.

Read poster TF's explanation, "Why Lyme Doctors Don't Take Insurance":

Check the online state Lyme groups at:

Maybe they can help.

The top LLMD, Dr. H, has written a new book entitled, "Why Can't I Get Better?". It is an excellent source of information.

Also read "Cure Unknown" by Pamela Weintraub. Check your local library or buy it used on Amazon.
