Doctor said it could be a bite from any bug most likely..just as a precaution I need to make sure. She's almost four, such a beautiful and smart little girl. Primary care provider started her on amoxicillin and seemed knowledgeable about lymes.

Welcome to Lymenet! PM sent for TX.
Your little girl needs to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!
Lyme-literate doctors (LLMDs) are far and few between, unfortunately. You need to go where they are.
Also, most LLMDs do not take insurance due to the politics surrounding this disease. Read poster TF's explanation about this:
The top LLMD, Dr. H, has written a new book entitled, "Why Can't I Get Better?". It is an excellent source of information.
Read "Cure Unknown" by Pamela Weintraub. Get it at your local library or buy it used on Amazon.

This looks like a mosquito bite to me. (?) Be sure to keep West Nile virus in mind.
