I was recently contacted by nephew telling me one of his employees has Lyme. She has since asked me about doctors. I know she will have to travel.

PM sent for MO. I don't know of any in OK.

She needs to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!

Unfortunately, LLMDs are far and few between. She needs to go where they are.

Also, most LLMDs do not take insurance due to the politics surrounding this disease. Have her read poster TF's explanation about this:

"Why Lyme Doctors Don't Take Insurance"

Have her check the online state Lyme groups at:
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/oklahomalyme

Maybe they can help.

Some more resources (including Support Group info):

The top LLMD, Dr. H, has written a new book entitled, "Why Can't I Get Better?". It is an excellent source of information.

Also have her read "Cure Unknown" by Pamela Weintraub. Check the local library or buy it used on Amazon.
