Hi all,

I'm seeking an LLMD in Maryland, preferably in Montgomery County.

I had a positive result as a teenager and was treated normally.

My symptoms have returned 7 years later and I know it could be a co-infection that was never tested.

I know most do not accept insurance, but any that have a rate below $200 would be amazing.

I'm willing to travel up to 100-150 miles to Northern VA, Southern PA, etc.

Thank you!

Welcome to Lymenet! PM sent for MD, VA & PA.

You need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!

They are far and few between, unfortunately. You need to go where they are.

Also most LLMDs do not accept insurance due to the politics surrounding this horrible disease. Read poster TF's explanation, "Why Lyme Doctors Don't Take Insurance":

When calling for an appointment, ask if they have any cancellations or a waiting list. Patients have been able to get in sooner to see a LLMD by doing this.

Check the online state Lyme groups at:

Maybe they can help.

The top LLMD, Dr.H, has written a new book entitled, "Why Can't I Get Better?". It is an excellent source of information.

Read "Cure Unknown" by Pamela Weintraub. Get it at your local library or buy it used on Amazon.
