I was recently diagnosed and am looking for treatment options. I am currently in North Dakota, but am potentially moving to Colorado in the near future. I am willing to travel if needed to get the best care - preferably a drivable distance not requiring frequent flights.
I would love recommendations for both ND and CO so that I can start planning and get on the schedule/waiting list- states easiest to travel to: Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Nebraska, Colorado, North Dakota, South Dakota. If I have to travel farther to get the best I will consider it, but prefer no more than 12 hours. Also willing to travel to Northwest Arkansas as we have family there.

We take 29 down through Omaha and Kansas City - is the doctor near Kansas City - that would be best, but I can be flexible for a great doctor.

I should maybe clarify my diagnoses as well - I was diagnosed with the igenex test and we think I have had lyme for three years.

You need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!
A LLMD is one who has treated Lyme disease and the co-infections which come with it for many years and has gotten patients well. A good one will follow Dr. B's Guidelines, the "gold standard" for Lyme treatment.
Unfortunately, LLMDs are far and few between. You need to go where they are. I don't know of any in ND, SD or NE.
I was told doctors in CO do not treat aggressively enough, because CO is extremely tough on any doctor who does. The medical board is relentless on them. Posters on Lymenet from CO recommend going out-of-state to see a LLMD.
