I'm in need of a LLMD, preferable one that is familiar with the Limerix vaccine (from 2000, and pulled from the market the same year) and it's possible long term side effects. Please help, I just had a doctor tell me today that I'm crazy!!

Probably should have spell checked better, Lymerix vaccine is what I meant, and Central MN please.

Welcome to Lymenet! PM sent for MN.
You need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!
A LLMD is one who has treated Lyme disease and the co-infections which come with it for many years and has gotten patients well. A good one will follow Dr. B's Guidelines, the "gold standard" for Lyme treatment.
I would think a LLMD would be aware of and know about the Lymerix vaccine, etc.
Unfortunately, LLMDs are far and few between. You need to go where they are.
Also, most LLMDs do not accept insurance due to the politics surrounding this horrible disease. Read poster TF's explanation, "Why Lyme Doctors Don't Take Insurance":

Can you share this info with me as well. I am not far from MN and am looking for a LLMD. Thanks.

Christianmotherof5 - you should write a new post instead of adding on to an existing one, so more people will see it and respond because most don't re-read old posts.
