Anyone know of a LLD in the Philadelphia area? I live in NJ and

everyone claims there are no good doctors in nj! I am only about

20 minutes from Philly.

PM sent for PA & MD.

It is very important and beneficial to heed the advice of Lyme patients who have had experience with doctors treating Lyme Disease in NJ or any state, for that matter. The best way to find out is to get personal references or patient reviews. You can avoid wasting years of time and money as well as not getting properly treated by doing this.

Here is a post by poster "TF' who is knowledgeable and offers good advice:

"Based on many patient reports I have received, I don't recommend any of the Lyme doctors they have in New Jersey.

Some really rip off the patients. I have horror stories.

So, are you willing to travel, say to the D.C. area? Let me know and I will give you the name of who I recommend. He is better than the Lyme specialists they have in Philly.

If you want a chance to actually get rid of this disease, you need to go to the best Lyme doctor you can afford.

The good ones are few and far between. And, they cost money and don't take insurance.

At least half of all Lyme patients go out of state for their care and many fly."

Lymenet has been a true Godsend to me and others in dealing with this horrible illness, be it for family members or themselves. This is the place I started when I didn't know where to go, who to go to, or what to do to get help for our beloved son.

Thanks to many caring posters who offered advice and information (TF included), we were able to start treatment for him and still continue to do so. Because of them and their willingness to help, our son has gotten better even though he still has problems.

Btw - we do fly out-of-state to see our son's LLMD, but wish he was close by where we live! It would be wonderful if that were the case, better if our son didn't have Lyme at all!!
