Hi, and welcome to LymeNet!

I sent you a name. I also sent you the name of an out of state lyme doc who can see you quickly.

Since it is very expensive to see a lyme doctor and the waits to see an excellent one will be long, most people who are not sure that they have lyme start out with a lesser doctor while they wait for their excellent doctor appointment.

If you have not yet done so, I strongly suggest you read and STUDY the Burrascano Lyme Treatment Guidelines found here:

http://www.lymenet.org/BurrGuide200810.pdf

This document will give you your education on this complex disease (which is really a number of diseases) and will tell you what good lyme treatment looks like.

See pages 9-11 for a list of common lyme symptoms. Make a very complete list of your symptoms in preparation for your first appointment with a lyme specialist.

Many doctors treat lyme disease, but only a few--a very few--know enough to get rid of it for a person. I know some of these few, and I only recommend these few.

I advise everyone to get to the absolute best lyme specialist they can possibly afford. That gives you the best chance of regaining your health.

You are paying for expertise. You want someone who treats lyme 100% of the time or at least a majority of the practice is lyme. That is how a doctor develops expertise.

We will help you here all we can.

p.s.

I had undiagnosed lyme disease (and babesiosis and bartonella) for at least 10 years before it was discovered that I had lyme.

Still, by going to a doctor who followed the Burrascano Guidelines, I got rid of this horrendous disease.

I completed my treatment over 12 1/2 years ago and I am still symptom free, enjoying my life.

The doc is the key! Can't emphasize that enough.

The 2 docs that I went to before the Burrascano type doctor (recommended to me by a lyme support group) just helped me a little. 2 wasted years taking antibiotics, etc.

So, I found out by experience what to look for in a doctor. Then, I sent at least 5 of my friends to Burrascano type doctors and they also got rid of lyme.

That's why I believe in the Burrascano protocol. It is the most successful protocol for lyme disease in the world.

I studied the protocol and then I traveled to hear Dr. Burrascano speak. It was obvious to me that this guy knew so very much more about this disease than any of the docs that I saw or was currently seeing.

So, I called another Support Group and asked for the name of a doctor who followed Burrascano. I suggest you do the same. However, you will find that such doctors are few and far between. You will likely have to travel to see one.
