Hi all - I haven't been around for a while because I'm doing fairly well myself, thankfully.

However, a high school friend recently got in touch with me because her 2yo son developed a bullseye rash after a camping trip last week.

She's going through a debacle trying to get meds for her son (doc says tick wasn't attached for 36 hours, so it can't be Lyme). I shared some references on tick attachment times and disease transmission, hoping that would help.

While she works on convincing her doc that her son needs antibiotics ASAP, I figured I'd reach out for pediatric LLMD recs.

Please PM me if you have any good experiences with Lyme-Literate pediatricians in the Washington DC or Alexandria, VA area.

Thanks in advance and be well.

PM sent for VA & PA along with important information about Lyme and children for your friend. Time is of the essence and she needs to get him to a LLMD a.s.a.p.!

Have her contact the VA Lyme Support Groups. They would know better about VA and may be able to help.
