Welcome to Lymenet! PM sent for IN & OH. I don't have names of any good ones in MI.

You need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!

A LLMD is one who has treated Lyme disease and the co-infections which come with it for many years and has gotten patients well. A good one will follow Dr. B's Guidelines, the "gold standard" for Lyme treatment.

Here is a link for them:

Unfortunately, LLMDs are far and few between, so you need to go where they are. At least half of all Lyme patients travel out-of-state for treatment.

Also most LLMDs do not accept insurance due to the politics surrounding this horrible disease. Read poster TF's explanation, "Why Lyme Doctors Don't Take Insurance":

Contact the MI & IN Lyme Support Groups. They would know better about their state.

Read the books written by the top LLMD, Dr. H, titled, "Why Can't I Get Better?" and "How Can I Get Better?". They are an excellent source of information.

Also read "Cure Unknown" by Pamela Weintraub. Get it at your local library or buy them used online.

You can request a LLMD through ILADS (International Lyme and Associated Diseases) here;
https://www.ilads.org/patient-care/provider-search/

You can request a LLMD through Global Lyme Alliance here;
https://globallymealliance.org/education-awareness/find-medical-professional/

You must research all LLMD's.
To do this, Google for patient reviews or connect with your area's Lyme support groups that Hopingandpraying provided in the upper post.

Your 1st visit with a LLMD will be the most costly.
Bring with you ALL previous blood tests, procedures done, doctor's visits, medications, current symptom list, ect. This can save you money.

Please utilize Lymenet's 'search' function located in the middle of the home page. It contains years of valuable information posted by Lyme patients. You will find this extremely helpful with the many questions you will face. Or you can post your questions in open forum and one of the many members of Lymenet will respond.

Good luck on your healing journey.
I will send you a private message.
