Hi: Would like to hear if anyone else has severe 'nerve' pain. Currently I'm using Neurotin, can't use reg. pain killers like narcotics. Has anyone found natural remidies to help heal nearves and help the pain?

Thanks!

Oh, yes! Nerve pain has been my worst, and most longstanding symptom.

I do take Vicodin when it is worst, and Soma. The other things that have helped are:

Minerals, especially magnesium.
Ginger
Epsom salt baths with hydrogen peroxide.
Osteopathic manipulation, especially the craniosacral type.
Gentle (VERY!) yoga
B12 injections, and later sublingual.
Slow, deep breathing.
Good quality fats (Omega 3 and 6 needed for nerve regeneration)

I hope some of that is helpful. Pain is the pits!

B12 injections also helped me enormously. Have also had the magnesium,
Ginger
Osteopathic manipulation etc. but the B12 was very good.

Also massage. Oddly enough, if I am having terrible nerve pain in my head I can usually trace it back to a knotted up muscle in my neck or shoulder that is pinching the nerve.

Work that knot until it goes away and then it is some better.

Another natural remedy that seems to help is Natto-Kinase. Also called Natto-K. It is expensive. It is a bunch of enzymes that are supposed to break down fibrin in the blood vessels so blood can flow into the small vessels.

What works best seems to depend on where the nerve pain originates. I think the neurontin works pretty good on nerve pain generated in my brain stem.

There are so many different types of pain with this. Hang in there. Try all of the above and something should help.
