Last I heard Lola was in a duck hospital and Snowflake was going to visit. Any updates? Hiker

Snowflake is probably the only one who knows what's going on and she probably can't get to a computer.

I hope we hear soon!

I had some correspondence with both before Lola went to the duck motel. I believe she had seen Doc C. but when things fell apart she was too far away and had to go to the local hospital.

I provided some info for snowflake and she was heading out to help Lola battle the ducks.
If I hear anything I'll post it.

Hi,

I just wanted to ease your minds to let you know that Lola is at home and out of the hospital. Her doctors there officially diagnosed her with POTS and said if she really had Lyme she was treated enough. She was concerned the antibiotics were damaging her so she went off. I stayed there until Tuesday with her. Her BP is stable but still has mild tachycardia and fever. She was placed on a beta blocker.

I hope and pray that these doctors know what they are doing. She is cancelling the upcoming appt with her LLMD. [Frown]

Lola,

So sorry you have been so sick. Now that you are home I hope you will reconsider and keep your LLMD appointment.

POTS is a real diagnosis and can be serious, however something has to go wrong in the body to trigger this problem. It does not just happen out of the blue. Also, as far as I know fever is not generally one of the symptoms of POTS.

I wish you a speedy recovery, but remember we are here for you if you do decide to re-evaluate the possibility of Lyme and tickborne diseases at any point in the future.

Snowflake -- Thanks for the update.

Lola,

Here is a link to a thread discussing POTS and Lyme. It includes a couple of links to POTS websites and discussion forums.
