I called in to let them know that the doctor gaveme off until the 8th which is after the SSA hearing

my son is not able to get in since he relies on my transporting him since he does not have a license.. so what do i do there he will probably be fired as a result and then again he wants to find another job..

I have to get my youngest to drive me to walmart to get some food and drugs for the house... he can only drive with an adult...

what woudl you do I scanned my scrpit fromt eh MD and emailed it to my superviser ... I hope they stop calling here I am upset enough over the loss of income!

livinlyme,
I think your last paragraph is:

what would you do?
I scanned my script...PHARMACY?? from the MD
and emailed it to my supr.

I hope they stop calling here; I am upset enough over the loss of income.

Write the date, time, and who called you for EACH call you receive. I believe you said you HAVE A LAWYER; give them this info.

They had the info from what I read above about your not being back to work till AFTER AUG. 8 SSI hearing. good luck. Bettyg

what does your prescription have to do with anything? Sorry, but I'm not following your train of thought tonight; guesss I'm too tired!

LL-

you can't possibly know when you will be well. Perhaps if you tell your company to write to your doc they will get off your back and get an answer that is in medical jargon.

Honesty is often the best, but it depends on the employer. Since you are working with a lawyer on SSI, you may want to ask advice.

Is it a large employer? Unfortunately, under the Americans With Disabiltiies Act employers don't usually have to provide indefinite leave.

As a minimum, they are usually required to meet the FMLA (Family Medical Leave Act) requirements. Bubt beyond that, if they don't have resources, then it can be considered not to be a reasonable accommodation to allow indefinite leave.

I just want you to be aware. Because not being clear with them might bother them and cause them to just fire you.

So you want to know if you reached the FMLA or state leave maximum. And ask your lawyer if you have any protection.

When you asked about them calling 1.How many times have they called? and 2.Did you answer there first call?

They have a right to know if your coming back quickly or its going to be a while.

If you dont know when just tell them that.

Or Give them permission to ask your Dr in writing specificly just once what your Dr's opinion is on time frame of return to work if it all goes right.
Now this is for just one time and explain this to your Dr.

And nothing should be answered by your Dr until you two discuss it first.

I dont have this problem I would have but my job is no where near as physical as it use to be.

Use to be putting out wildfires and heavey equipment and physical hard labor and walking through forest timber markin. Now I do the GIS GPS work setting on butt typing and thinking all day and some pc repair.
