Just wanted to mention this. My neighbors are both RN's at Tulane Hospital in New Orleans.

One works NICU, one works PICU.

The wife has Lyme, husband is getting tested via Igenex this week with a known history of tick bites.

Had a 7 year old little girl brought to the hospital.

She had gray hair in her head and in her eye brows.

The MD's ran all kinds of tests.....came up positive for bartonella.

Of course, now that my neighbors are Lyme Literate,

they suggested to the residents to test this girl for Lyme.

Hmmmmmmm.......Is that where all of my gray hair is coming from?

Never had any before last year...was already sick, but not diagnosed.

I found a gray hair in my eye brow the other day.

Now, I know, that I am growing older....and not gracefully.

I have blond hair....white/gray hair in blond is hard to see.....but I see it like a Neon light going off.

Lyme? Bartonella? Maturation? (not old age!!!)

Just thought that was curiously interesting....

Hugs,

Geneal

Hmm, I have suprisingly brown hair for my 42 years, but have some white eyelashes. Don't know if this is common or is part of the disease. I have heard that mineral deficiencies can cause premature greying.

Hello Geneal, [Smile]

Isn't this strange stuff?

I am nearing fifty so I already had a few gray hairs.

Unfortunately over three years ago my left eye brow fell out along with a large strip of hair on my head, the hair on my head came back the eye brow hasn't yet.

This is really cute.

How are things? Good, I hope. Kiss the babies.

Dear Mississippi,

I have to share with you that your post made me chuckle.

I am sure you are cute just the way you are---eyebrow or not!!!!

The kids are okay, I think. I am going to get their Rx for Igenex testing tomorrow

and have it sent to my LLMD. I am really starting to think that maybe both of my babies

may have it. Strange behaviors, complaints of pain and stomach aches

and both have had recurrent bed wetting in the last couple of weeks. They never do that.

I am concerned that I may have been infected the month before I knew I was pregnant with my youngest...my son.

I was speaking with our mosquito guy who sprays our neck of the woods, told him about Lyme.

He asked about symptoms. When I told him the symptoms he said "sounds like West Nile".

It struck me then that in July of 2002 I had a month long bout with what they thought was West Nile...although I never had a high fever....

Anyway....I would have them both tested regardless.

Hope you are doing well. I think of you often and pray for you daily.

Hugs,

Geneal

I have quite a few gray hairs popping out - just turned 40. I'm being treated for bart right now. I don't know if it's the stress of living with Lyme or bartonella itself causing the grays.
