I love to read. And so far I only have one lyme disease book: Healing Lyme. I'm about halfway through it. It's very informative and interesting.

I'd like to read a few more.

I've been looking on Amazon and there's quite a few.

Any help? Any books you've already read that you'd recommend?

Thanks!

I really liked Everything you Need to Know about Lyme Disease and Other Tick-Borne Disorders by Karen Vanderhoof-Forschner. The info is scientifically based, but written in a very accessible way. The author had Lyme, and her son was born with Lyme and died very young. A terribly sad story! This would be an ideal book to share with a family member or doctor who wants to get Lyme-literate.

Another great book, although not specifically about Lyme, is The Four Pillars of Healing by Dr. Leo Galland. He emphasized the importance of looking at the whole picture when dealing with health--not just viruses and bacteria, but also environmental factors such as toxin and nutritional issues.

I got both of these books from my local library.

I have two favorites:
"Everything You Need To Know About Lyme Disease"
has excellent information!! Couldn't get along without it.

"Coping With Lyme Disease" by Denise Lang is an easy read with excellent information.

I've found it's especially good for people who suspect they have Lyme and they're looking for reliable information that's easy to understand. Also includes interesting patients' stories.

I keep both of these books by the telephone for easy access.

LDA'S 2 books:

LD; SCIENCE, LAWS, AND POLITICS i think; i'm typing in dark so can't access it but look on left had side in BOOKS and it should be there.

LD: are we having fun yet for kids 8-12

PJ LANGHOFF's, THE SINGING FOREST, about her lyme story and fighting the legal system trying to get her kids back into her custody; been ongoing for years!! it's hard to put this one down .

PJ has 3 more inthe works submitted to the publisher: our lyme stories of 100 patients, and more!

read one where it was all personal lyme stories of 12-15 folks recommended on the board by ann-ohio i believe??
