I missed my LLMD appt today. [Frown]

Two wrong turns landed me on the Bayonne/Jersey City border. I dropped the transmission in my car & had to wait to be rescued. Not a very pleasant experience. [shake]

I was able to get LL?IDMD to call re: lab results.
My phone didn't ring, so he left message.

He is very happy with my lab results! [woohoo] (me [shake] )

My sx this past month after stopping IV were reminiscent of the time following my most recent tick bites. I fear that I am in BIG trouble.

He called in a refill for my 250 mg/day of Zith & my appt is rescheduled for 2/25. I have waited very patiently, on this dosage of an ABX that is useless for me, for an ENTIRE MONTH. I have continued to go backwards.

I am now once again burning/cutting/grating my hands as I prepare dinner for my family, among other sad, pathetic things. [Frown]

I shall, once again, call my primary LLMD tomorrow and "cry" to him. As I left it when I called this LL?IDMD, I am going to go and "play in traffic".

[Frown]

I think I may just have finally had enough. [Frown]

Don't play in traffic, AliG, it's not safe!!!

You are too adorable and important to get run over- we need you here as a moderate, as a voice of reason*)!!! Seriously. It will be better and today will be the yesterday of yesterdays- and you will one day look back and tomorrow will be the yesterdays of yesterday- and you will be so glad you hung in there- you really will!!!
Against traffic play,
Sincerely,
Sarah

Thanks for being you! [kiss] [hi]

AliG: I will not be able to sleep tonight because your story was SO torturous. jk...

How horrible for you! It's like the dream I have of trying to change for gym class and I have layers and layers and layers of clothes and I'm too late and then miss gym.

I think you need a bath.. [Big Grin]

BLESSINGS!

Clarissa

ali, [group hug] [kiss]

so sorry to read of your horrendous day, but it could be worse ... you could still be sitting in your car out on the highway! [cussing]

what a bummer? I agree also; don't play in traffic; we NEED YOU HERE with your diplomacy, kindness, CARING, thoughtful ideas, suggestions, and personal conference.

As Rhett Butler said to Scarlett, "Frankly, I don't give a damn!" to which Scarlett replied, "for tomorrow is ANOTHER DAY, I'LL THINK ABOUT IT THEN! or something along those lines!

hang in there kiddo, we love you. [group hug] [kiss]

Thanks so much for the encouragement and THANK YOU BETTY, for the perspective adjustment. [Smile]

That would NOT not have been very pleasant to have been stuck there any longer than I was. [shake]

Actually it was not even MY vehicle, it was my Dad's. I'm still trying to figure out how to tell him. He doesn't really need a vehicle any more because I drive him everywhere and have my own vehicle, but he'll still likely get VERY upset. It's his nature to catastrophize even the smallest mishap to full-blown crisis proportions.

It's an older vehicle with a lot of miles & AWD, so a rebuilt transmission will cost around $3500. I really don't think it makes sense for him to have it fixed, so now I have to figure out how to talk him out of that before I call him. I have to be prepared to counter whatever panic he could come up with.

Rosanna Rosannadanna could have a field day with my life. [Roll Eyes] [lol]

The way I see it now, if I could take a full line of air in my shoulder, via an IV catheter in my arm and live to laugh about it, I'd only likely cause other people to get hurt trying to avoid me in the road.

Actually I think I had my fill of playing in traffic at the intersection yesterday. [Roll Eyes] [bonk]

I don't even know WHAT to say to my primary LLMD at this point. I'm just so frustrated & disgusted with this whole thing.

This is not really my life. It can't be, nobody's life could be THIS ridiculous ALL the time. Actually it seems that with Lyme, I have a great deal of company putting up with too much ridiculous nonsense in life.

I'm hopeful again that today will be a better day......for ALL of us! [group hug]

Dear AliG,

For some reason the doors to the LL ID aren't opening for you....

Maybe God is trying to push you in a different direction.

However, I am sure that playing in the traffic is not the direction He may be pushing you in. [Big Grin]

As disappointed as you are on top of not feeling well,

It is easy to become overwhelmed and discouraged.

Go to the doors that open for you.

There is a reason for that.

Sending you positive thoughts and prayers.

Hugs,

Geneal

Thanks Geneal, [kiss]

I needed that! [Big Grin]

Perhaps He was stopping me from walking into the "you're all better now, your tests say so" ambush. They do say He watches out for fools, right? [Roll Eyes]

I surely wouldn't have been able to handle that one, when I was going in so hopeful that a co-infection would turn up so I could be treated for it & REALLY get better.

My Dad doesn't really need the vehicle, he can't drive now. This way he can sell it & stop paying insurance on it. So maybe it WAS for the best.

I'm still not happy about another month of symptom tracking. [shake]

I JUST WANT THIS FIXED ALREADY!!!!!!!!! [rant] [Frown] I know, I know.......we ALL do!!! [Roll Eyes]

[group hug]

ali, does your Dad have alzheimer's or dementia since he no longer drives?

if yes, you won't be able to convince him to sell it; good luck.

sorry, but i don't know of the woman you/tutu were referring to! [confused]

He doesn't have Alzheimer's but he is taking massive pain meds & SSRIs. He does get very confused & anxious, so it may be rough going. I'm not sure what I'm up against.

He has seemed to agree with me, but he could forget that tomorrow & start worrying again. The faster I am able to sell it for him, the easier it will probably be for him to deal with.

Rosanna Rosannadanna was a Gilda Radner character from "Saturday Night Live", back when it was worth watching. She always used to go off on wild tangents & somehow tie it together in the end with "If it's not one thing, it's another."

I can still hear her voice. It was (IMO) very funny. [Smile]

Thanks JB [Big Grin]

I'm glad to hear you got out of the street as well. [lol]

I had to laugh when I read this because, if we did just talk about this in a pm, I'll be darned if I can remember either. [bonk]

I think I already know of the other couple considered LL, in my area, but hey...."you never know". If you have someone you're really happy with, I'd love the information.

I'm wondering if maybe I gave you info on LLMDs for your friend near me? That may have been someone else....I haven't had my coffee yet. [Roll Eyes]
