She was an true inspiration to me and many others. I learned a lot from her about all sorts of things... and we had fun together and we laughed.
She was pretty cool too. She believed in speaking her mind and if needed, she bucked the system, much like we do... and by doing so, she won.
They insisted she would die without "their" treatment... and even if treated, she would only live 6 months. They tried to bully her to make her do what they thought was best and totally disregarded what she wanted.
They were very rude and hateful to her about the whole thing... so she finally told them to go sit on their hats and she went on and did as she pleased.
She lived another 2 1/2 years without their medicine... and was around to see her grand children- a very special dream of hers.
I guess the message to carry forward is to follow your heart and don't let the ducks get you down.
I'm sure missing her tonight. With her went a piece of my heart.
If anyone has a special prayer for her... it would be appreciated.

It's hard in this life to find true friends and it sounds like you had found that within her.

it is so hard to find friendships that are as special as you and your friend had....and still have...you will always have that....
not many people in life get that gift of a true friend....
maybe instead of a piece of your heart going with her...maybe she left a piece of her heart with you....

I am so sorry for your loss. It really hurts to loose a good friend.
My best friend died at the young age of 24 with cancer and that was 15 years ago.
Her memory is with me everyday and her picture on my wall.

The one thing that will never be able to be taken from you, is the beautiful memories you and your friend have made together.
