I owe, I owe it's back to work I must go!

Financial constraints and the rising cost of health care

For my family is driving my decision to go back to work.

Hopefully there will be a job for me out there.

I am speaking better than I have for the last 2.5 years.

Able to remember things....most of the time. [Smile]

Scared though.

What if I take a turn for the worse?

What if the stress of working pushes me backwards physically.

What if there aren't any jobs out there....

Okay, okay. Deep breath.

God has a plan for me.

I am going to trust in this plan.

If I am to work then I will get a job.

I will be able to help my family financially get back on it's feet.

I can do this. I think I can. [Smile]

With all of you with so much more on your plate,

I feel kind of guilty for asking, but......

If you do have a spare moment to send me a positive thought or prayer

That this works out for me,

I would really, really appreciate it. [Smile]

Hugs,

Geneal

I know you can, I know you can.

Think of what you can realistically do...and cut that in half.

Good advice passed on to me from my doc. [Smile]

Once your new employers get to know you, they will certainly accommodate any slips in order to keep you.

I know you can, I know you can...

Great advice from Melanie. I would see if you can find something that is part-time to begin with.

That will allow you to have time to rest up because this will be a lot more than you are used to, no matter how well-prepared you think you are.

Good luck!

Thanks you guys.

I am hoping for a part time gig although there are no benefits.

Still the money would be helpful in paying for insurance.

You are too wonderful to me and for me.

Hugs,

Geneal

there's a perfect job for geneal; there's a perfect job for geneal that will accommodate her lyme disease issues!!

what a bummer, part-time and NO benefits; but as you stated, it will help on health insurance, etc.

yes you can and you will do it in the GENEAL way of doing things .... FROM THE HEART! [group hug] [kiss]

afterthought; did you ever apply for SSDI, disability insurance benfits? if approved, your kids would receive benefits too.

now, i'm thinking of my late sister who was dying from breast cancer and her kids got benefits until 18 on 1st chlid; 16 on 2nd child.

[hi] Hi Geneal...

..."God has a plan for me.

I am going to trust in this plan.

If I am to work then I will get a job...."

Amen to that!!! [bow] ...good thinking!

Some hospitals offer benefits even working part-time 20 hours a week....just a thought..

just the fact that you are even able to think about working again is soooo great!!!

I totally understand how you feel. I have not worked in over 2 years now. I left a job that I so loved. Now I feel very insecure about going back to work and frankly can't picture it quite yet. I think the key is to imagine yourself being able to do it. Think positive!!!

If it were me, I would start part time and work up from there. That way you won't have to push too hard to begin with. Just ease back into the real world.

I send good wishes your way!

Of course you're remebered in my prayers, Geneal!

Mine, and the thoughts and prayers of many others.

As you travel this path, wherever it leads you, know you are not alone.

[group hug]

When a beacon of light steps out into the world to make a path there will be a light for you to follow.

You are that beacon and I know with all your kindness and light you can do this.

Geneal, you can do this and if at anytime it doesn't feel right to you don't hesitate for one second to retreat if you have to.

Sending you Strength & Peace on your new journey,

Gael

Hey Geneal,

I've been out of town for a week and just found my way to your post.

There's not a doubt in my mind that you can do it! BUT, as many others here are advising - start out slowly. Remember to give yourself "me" time, and don't forget to ask for help when you need it.

I'm thrilled that you're feeling well enough to even entertain the thought of going back to work - that's a good sign for sure!!

Best of luck to you!

Lauren

Awww you guys.

Make me blush. [Smile]

I am going to try to start off slow, but may have to take

Whatever I can get right now.

I am feeling better.

However, this is a relative term for me.

As long as my command of the English language holds....I'm good. [Smile]

[group hug] [kiss]

Geneal
